Connector ebay and amazon

Hi,

Our customer ask for a ebay and a amazon connector. Google tells a lot of people has work on the issue but code is less available. On the connector page seems like their was plans to use the connector framework and loving the benefit of it i prefer a connector base solution. 
So what is the current status? We can contribute to the project as developer or maybe funding.
