It is very well engineered to work with heavy loads (it includes an
asynchronous queue system) and well documented. I believe it is the
best system around.

The underlying framework

has been ported to Odoo 8, but the magento-specific part not yet. (it
will at some point and contributions are welcome).

I never heard about the other connector mentioned here. At least the
part integrated with Odoo (if there is one, as opposed to webservices
only) needs to have the same open source license of Odoo.
