I am using Mozilla Firefox 3.6.12 and its working fine.
I have checked with Mozilla Firefox 3.6.3, and its not working.

So may be its browser problem.
Can you check version?

Status in OpenObject Web Client:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  When downloading an attachment from the right sidebar, the file should be opened with the correct application should.

For example:

 * an image download should open the default image viewer
 * an openoffice document should launch OpenOffice
