Devishree Brahmbhatt (OpenERP) (dbr-openerp) has assigned this bug to you for OpenERP Web Client:

the web client allows to "set as default" in search views but does not use it 
- in  gtk the option "set as default" does not exist.

IMHO it would be a nice feature if it works.
