also, the most of people is used to find the label "accounting" instead
of "financials"

wikipedia says:
<<Accounting is defined by the AICPA as "The art of recording,
classifying, and summarizing in a significant manner and in terms of
money, transactions and events which are, in part at least, of financial
character, and interpreting the results thereof.>>

So it seems to fit exactly what the users find clicking that menu item
