In Open ERP a consumable is a physical product which is treated like a stockable product except that stock management isn’t taken into account by the system. You could buy it, deliver it or produce it but Open ERP will always assume that there’s enough of it in stock. It never triggers a procurement exception.

IMHO Services and consumables can't have production lots assigned

Bug description:
In 5.0.10, when you make an outgoing packing and enter a production lot for a stock move, OpenERP checks whether it's available in the stock in any case.
It should instead only check stockable products, not services or consumable products.
