This is a know issue, currently tracked under bug 914692 in the addons project, and caused by some remaining legacy wizard code. 
A bug fix is already being reviewed, including the port of these modules to the current wizard format.

  menu items show up but clicking on them does not have any effect,
  neither does it show any error. It just results in "nothing"
