Actually the idea is that even if you are working with PO files directly you
can still upload them to LP, and we even provide an automated script for doing
it in batch, as explained here (first FAQ):
   http://doc.openerp.com/contribute/07_improving_translations.html

This way you could be totally independent :-)

If you scripted the copying of es.PO files to es_CR.po files, remember that
this step is actually unnecessary, because OpenERP preloads es.PO files for all
es_XX.po files. (It will however make a difference for the LP translation
statistics for es_CR, if you care about it)

In the past we used to have a large backlog of merge proposals to process, but
we are trying to process them faster now, and it helps to avoid duplicating the
"administrative" work.

Bug description:
  es_CR translation for 6.1 stable release need to be done.

  Hopefully we will have a functional 100% translation for the release
  date.
