Hello Nicholas linn,

I am not agree with your point. you have suggested that to Add the
editable tree for SO line but I don't think so It's useful for us.
Because By Using "Save & New" Button  we can adding no of items with out
close the pop-up.

Moreover, we are use the procurement method, Packing, Properties,
Invoice line and stock moves fields in SO line. So here many2many field
are not useful in editable treeview.

I think your Suggestion is not valid That's why I am closing this Issue.

Bug description:
  Wishlist: Adding items to long sales orders can become tedious when
  each item requires a popup be opened a form filled out and then
  closed.  Allowing direct editing of the tree view using default values
  can signifigantly improve entry time.
