Reference is supposed to be the customer number/code/reference not a
referer. When you search you either have an exact customer
number/code/reference or you want to search on the name. The current
behaviour first try an exact match on ref then fallback on a partial
search on the name really make sense.

  Search Addresses Partner search filters on Reference Field

  operating system xp
  browser Fiefox

  Situation:

  I have a partner "X "  record.  I have another New partner "Y" and I
  happen to placed the Name of another partner "X" in the Reference
  Field of Partner "Y" just as a note that this new partner was referred
  by partner "X" .

   Now when I search addresses for the Partner "X" I actually get the result of Partner "Y". this only happens in Web Client
