[Bug 963288] Re: Create new database on OpenERP 6.1 ALWAYS installs demo data
Alan,
The 'init' option is to install one or more modules (comma-separated
list, use \"all\" for all modules). Its a part of the config file(not
mandatory to specify).
Additionally, I recommend to check the contents of .openerp_serverrc
file. Sometimes, this file behaves rigidly and doesn't listen to your
configurations.
Hope this sheds some light towards the solution.
Regards,
Serpent Consulting Services.

Title:
Create new database on OpenERP 6.1 ALWAYS installs demo data
Status in OpenERP Server:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I am trying to install OpenERP 6.1 and am happy to create a new
database rather than migrate any existing data.
Every time I try to create a database, regardless of the settings
chosen, it ALWAYS installs the demo data.
I have tried this about 10 times now and it is always the same.
Steps to reproduce:-
From GTK Client or Web client
Create new database
Fill in database name, UNTICK demo data, change country, insert password.
Database is created WITH DEMO DATA
Expected Results
New database is created with one user and NO company, partners, leads,
opportunities, orders, products, deliveries, purchases, items in
transit, comapny cars and other assets, etc etc etc etc
Actual results - database is created with about 25000 data items in it
Using deb installation on Ubuntu server
I have wasted about 18 hours on this as it is almost impossible to remove all traces of the demo data. I do not want this polluting my system
