I have checked with  updated trunk, also with nightly build 01/04/2012.
But Still I am not able to reproduce this issue at my end.
So would you please provide your version information 
regarding this issue and checked this with updated code.

  no luck, this module doesn't seem to work:
  while scanning for the next token
  found character '>' that cannot start any token
  in "<unicode string>", line 2, column 185:

  ^ 

  seems a fundamental problem somehow, the screenshot gives the
  context...
