Hi Martin! I'm facing exactly the same issue! What do you mean by "The
email format was the source of the problem."?

  email_template - signature

Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
  Invalid

Bug description:
  If we use the Signature check box in the email_template it put the
  signature in the both body (Text and Raw HTML). So if we have a body
  only in text it will replace it by the Raw HTML body with only the
  signature.  So we receive the email only with the signature in the
  body.

  For now we use the object field ${object.user_id.signature} and it's
  work.  But we can use the signature facility.

  
  We are on the openerp 6.0.2 on Ubuntu.
