[Bug 1013588] Re: product not scheduled with mrp_repair

Hello Virginie,

You might have a misunderstood the functionality of mrp_repair.Let me explain.
mrp_repair is a product repair module and it doesn't create a procurement, It 's used for the reparation of the product. It means that this module will repair your product which product are broken at then time of production or at scrapped at time of reception.

It repair your product from production/scrapped location and add those
product on your stock location. There is nothing relation with
procurement. Yes, there may be chance for procurement only on when your
product has a "produce" and not enough stock for component of repair
product, more it will create a procurement for component not for the
repair product.

Now for your last point which is for 0 quantity, on OpenERP we have
provided a negative stock facility. So there is not any restriction on
repair with 0 qty. let's take one example.... My product's current stock
is 0 and at time of production my 2 product was broken, and I gonna
repair it( at this time stock location qty is 0 and on production
location qty is 2). After repaired I got a 2 product on my stock
location. So this is the functionality of mrp_repair module.

I have prepare a video for it (with scrapped product repair) attached
with this issue , So please check it. It will more helpful for you.

Anyway it's a question rather than bug, So I am going to convert it.

Thanks for understanding!

Title:
  product not scheduled with mrp_repair

Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Hi,

I install the module mrp_repair on version 6.1.1.
But it seems that product added to an order repair are not taken in account in the calculation of needs.

Steps to reproduce (see attached document)
Take a product with a procurement method defined as Make To Order, and with no stock.
If we add this product to a repair order there is no alert for the stock = 0, and there is no procurement generated after run scheduler.

  Regards

  Virginie
