Hello Mike,

I have tested your scenario, I have faced the same problem when validate
the payment on POS. and we can't validate the payment Because of stock
move not created. So we are not able to assign Lot number on particular
deliver order because stock move is not created.

Title:
  [Trunk/6.1]POS doesn't allow recording of LOT Numbers

Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):

Bug description:
  Using 6.1 Demo Data database.  Sales, Warehouse, Accounting, POS installed.
  1. Set the product "[1] Ice Cream" to require lot nos for Incoming, Outgoing, Manufacturing.
  2. Goto POS Backend \ Daily Operations \ POS Orders
  3. Create a new order, assign a customer, create a line item of [1] Ice Cream.
  4. Apply a Payment, message generated;

  "ValidateError

  Error occurred while validating the field(s) prodlot_id: You must
  assign a production lot for this product"

  Because it went through the POS system, there doesn't appear to be any
  stock moves made, so you can't assign a LOT.

  I would expect that the POS system generates stock moves under
  warehouse somewhere allowing me to assign LOTS.
