I have tested your scenario at my end with 6.1 but all are working fine.

I have attached a video for your more reference, So would you please
check it and notify where you faced the problem or may I missed

Title:
  long terme phase duration uom not taken into account

Bug description:
  V6.1

  Module project_long_term

  If you set a duration in days in the phases, when you clic the
  schedule phases button, the quantity of time is straightly taken as
  hours instead of been first converted from days to hours and then sent
  in hours to "faces"
