[Bug 916670] Re: Outlook.Net 6.1 Does Not Install on 64bit Outlook 2010
It does not work for me. I have Windows 7 home premium 64bit with
Outlook 2010. Looks like the same installation.
I downloaded just the OpenERPOutlookPluginSetup(64bits).msi file from
revision 6602 and tried also the same file from revision 6628.
The installation runs without any error. Starting Outlook after, there
is no add-in in the menu nor in the add-ins list in the outlook options.
Did I miss something?
Enclosed my add-ins, if there is a incompatibility-issue...

Title:
Outlook.Net 6.1 Does Not Install on 64bit Outlook 2010
Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
Fix Released
Bug description:
I have installed the OpenERP Outlook .NET -
OpenERPOutlookPluginSetup.
This successfully installs into Windows without error but no menu
appears in Outlook 2010 64Bit.
Running on Windows 7, 64Bit.
The installation directory and files are:

C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenERP\OpenERPOutlookPluginSetup>dir

I manually tried to install this addin from within outlook, but it said that it was not a valid addin.
I assume that this package needs to be made for 64bit outlook, and
installed in the 64bit location not the 32bit location.
Outlook 2010 64bit is a special installation as it does not allow the
use of 32bit addins.
You can see this at this tehcnet developer note.

Happy to assist with further testing as needed.
Regards,
Patrick.
