Title:
feature request: easy creation of an action calling a method on
selected lines of a tree view
Status in OpenERP Server:
Confirmed
Bug description:
I asked the question on launchpad
(https://answers.launchpad.net/openerp/+question/204253) and Stack
Overflow (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11668636) the few answers
I got seemed to indicate that the framework provided no provision for
this, which seems to me to be a useful feature.
Given a model foobar with a public methode do_something, I wish there
was an easy and straightforward way to add an action in the right hand
box which would enable the end user to call the method after selecting
the ids from a tree view.
I feel it's an overkill to have to create a new wizard, especially
since do_something may be first performing something on the selected
rows and then firing up a wizard, in which case the interaction
becomes unnecessarily complex for the end user.
Thanks in advance.
