[Bug 755609] Re: [6.0.2/6.1] Impossible to choice sequence in account journal column

Hi,

Yes we have a OPW bug report open for quite some time on this
(576317)... I think either we forget about this feature in v7 or it has
to be completely re-done. I am curious to know what is plan now?

Let me deviate a bit from the current topic (or proposing a new angle of
attack)

In my humble :) opinion, I would rather see OpenERP decide to hard code
each journal views in the best possible way rather than giving the end-
user the possibility to select columns himself.

exemple :
Accounting / Journal Entries / Journal Entries : from here you can post manually journal entries.
below the standard column proposition is the followin (on a runbot intance today):

REFERENCE
INVOICE
NAME
PARTNER
ACCOUNT
DUE DATE
DEBIT
CREDIT
ANALYTIC DISTRIBUTION
TAX ACCOUNT
TAX/BASE AMOUNT
STATE
RECONCILE

Reference : is already requested at move level so it is useless to ask it again at move line level
Invoice : useless here. Unless you try to create a sale or purchase entry from here --> advice : never do that :)
Name (understand : 'Description') : should be required at move level (once) instead of keeping asking a description for every single lines.
Due date : same as above
Reconcile : useless when posting manual entry

I could take another exemple with the manual reconciliation view (in
periodical processing)...Again not the right column are shown

So having a generic Journal view is maybe handy for developer but for the end user it is not ergonomic.
If the journal views does not work -> remove it ! it is only a nice features ...
What it important is to get rights columns for each menu .
What do you think ?
