Hi,
     I observe the same bug. In my case, this bug doesn't occur for the administrator, only for other users even if they have the same privileges of the admin.

    Also, I fixed this issue by login as administrator, going to human
resources => employees => selecting admin (or any other) and in the
right pane choosing "settings default values". Then, in the popup
choosing "analytic journal", checking "all users" and validating
(recording as default value).

   Hope it will help other users ;)

  [6.1 RC1] Get error when creating a timesheet item for a project

Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  After creating project, and setting up employee, go to add timesheet
  item in "My Timesheets".  Select project from drop down, type in
  description, enter quantity and type of invoicing.  When clicking
  "Save" I get a notification of:

  The following fields are invalid:
  - Analytic Journal
  - General Account
  - User

  These fields aren't available to be entered in.

  Expected behavior is to be able to save, or presented with the correct
  data fields to be filled in.

  This is on 6.1RC1 using Ubuntu Deb on Ubuntu Server 11.10 x64, via the
  web interface.
