Hello, additional comment about the terminology change in v7:

until now serial/lot were called lots in OpenERP. Now they are called "serial" in v7. I think this is not correct, what is implemented is lots and not serial individual per product instance number. What do you think? 
Instead for serial management Akretion implemented an extra addon called product_serial (to be moved out from the extra addons repo). What do you think Emiliyan, shouldn't the native feature not be called "lot management" again?

  [trunk] 7.0 Issues with Traceability in Manufacturing

Bug description:
  Hello,

  Here are my 2 issues and 1 recommendation:

  
  First Issue:

  Scenario:

  1. Using serials in materials and finished product
  2. Set Virtual Production Location to Routing related to Bill of Material
  3. Create MO
  4. Delivery order is aggregated where you should input serials of the materials. That is OK.
  5. Go to MO and attach serial number to finished product
  6. Next in MO, if you hit produce it, you will find that systems looks for Lot/serial numbers of the materials.

  So, the problem here is that you should enter serial numbers twice and
  when we think that normally it will be job of two employees, that will
  be a huge problem.

  and try it for yourself. Create MO example above with the Computer
  Case and Laptop Customized products.

  Second Issue

  When I try to attach serial numbers to the Materials in MO, I can't
  choose from already created lots/serials, but instead the only way is
  to create new ones.

  
  Recommendation

  Make experience of attaching lots/serials to materials and finished
  products similar to input of lots/serials in Delivery Order on
  Delivery button action (stock.partial.picking).
