I'm not aware of any problem for fetching emails from google apps.
GMails offers a regular POP/IMAP service, and this is what all our
developers and consultants are using for tests/demos of fetchmail.

So please be more specific, by explaining exactly what does not work,
providing error messages, logs, an example of configuration that you
used, proper steps to reproduce the error, etc. Spending those extra
minutes to write a complete bug report is what will make the difference
if you are really trying to get it fixed.

As for your second point, up to version 6.1 OpenERP did not support a concept of "private" messages, and the fetchmail module was only meant as a simple way to connect a mailbox with a certain OpenERP document kind, e.g. "info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" -> Leads/Opportunities, "support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" -> Project Issues, etc. In this context the emails are meant to be attached to whatever document kind you connect them to, and the visibility rules of that document kind apply to the emails.
If you're looking for a way to manage personal emails inside OpenERP you will be disappointed. However, as of version 7.0 OpenERP will support a concept of "email aliases" and a more regular "inbox" system, so what you want will become possible.

  fetchmail service doesn't pull emails for google apps users, also
  mails should be sorted and showed as per users and other users should
  not ba able to view each others emails.
