Hello Eckhard,

  I have checked this issue.And I can add categories of Project Issue
from Issue form view.so I think this bug is invalid.for more reference
you can see the video I have attached.

  Missing option to set project issue category (trunk/7.0)

Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
  Invalid

Bug description:
  project_issue version 7.0.1.0

  It is possible to configure categories of project issues Project >
  Configuration > Issues > Categories.

  However the form view does not give the user the option to set a
  category for a project issue.

  Interestingly enough hovering with the mouse cursor over a task in
  kanban view shows 'Category: ' .

  Categories for project issues are essential and are a functionality
  present in 6.1 /6.0.
