in the past the stored attachments were lost. 
the description didn't change from 6.1 to 7.0

I read this :
 installing the module drops all EXISTING stored attachment and all NEW attachments are in /server/bin/filestore

that was the behavior  up to 6.1 - and a client lost all his data ....

I would expect a "def init" section which extracts the attachments
stored in the db and store them in filestore.
