We have trace issue at our end and have fixe on baranch lp:~openerp-dev/openobject-addons/trunk-bug-1086918-aja at revision #8221.
@community team: bug not belongs to framework project , as  new_password field is replce with originl new_password field  in auth_signup module of res.user form and that is where widget is missing as mention by Mr.Parik in comment #2 .
kindly take appropriate decision.

  [Trunk] password field is visible on User form view

  Fix Committed

Bug description:
  Open the user form view, see the set password field.

  Enter the value, you can see the password it should be encrypted as
  working on "Change password" wizard.

  It was working fine on 6.1.
