Hello Frederic,

This is your suggestion but its not generic way to implement this.

Let me explain why it should not be implemented??

As older version of OpenERP 6.0 and 6.1 we have one extra group product manager who can create/edit/delete the product. 
Also the same thing can be done by on Sales/Purchase/Warehouse Manager.

Here on V7 we have removed the product manager, So only Sales manager,
purchase manager and Warehouse Manager can able to create/edit/delete
product. No need to give this rights to  Accountant he can only manages
the account doesn't related warehouse management even also the Financial
manager also not able to do this.

As I said product management is a process of sale/purchase/warehouse, So
If we also put the menu under Accounting menu which doesn't make sense.
Additionally we have already put product menu under
Sales/Purchase/Warehouse menu.

We have one generic menu which is the 'Sales', So we have put all generic objects under this menu like 'Customer'  , 'Addresses', 'Products ', 'Product Category' etc... 
Accountant and Account manager only read the product and  then can able to read it via sales menu. So no need to add product menu on Accounting menu again.

So we are not considering this your suggestion as a generic way and
closing it.

  [Trunk] missing menu product in accounting menu

Bug description:
  Hello,

  Would it possible to add the menu product into the accounting menu.
  Accountant needs to have access to product creation ... And they already can access to this menu from the invoice on the fly...
