Sorry I forgot to mention that you need to change dot ( .)  and dash( -
) by key board not in date field not the format in launguage menu. what
is must to check is ..both date and month should be smaller than 12 only
in that case date and month are interchanged.

  bug in datetime type field

Bug description:
  Hello,

  If we change the date format under setting > Language > Date Format field to  "%d/%m/%Y".
  Then datetime field doest support the seperator dot('.'), dash('-'). If we try to save the date with any of seperator except slash("/"), In this case date and month are interchanged if they both are less than 12. I found it in server 7.0 beta,Later I checked with server 6.1 the issue is same.Please fix the issue.
