[Bug 1098515] Re: delivering a make to order product from stock does not mark the sales order as delivered
Hello Alan,
I have checked your issue and I want to share my 'Opinion' about this.
Sale order process works different for both procurement method , 'Make
to order' and 'Make to Stock'.
When your sale order lines procurement method is 'Make to Stock' then
whenever you done the delivery order instantly your sale order's
delivered check box set True.
Now about the Make to order, In real time scenario what we are doing. We
take the quotation for customer and then purchase or produce(depends on
supply method) the product with the same quantity of the quotation. Then
after either we produced or buy that product, done the reception
(Incoming shipment here I am taking the example for supply
method="buy"). So now product available on our warehouse. After that we
are going to deliver the product and after the delivery that delivered
check box will True.
Coming to your point, If we are overproduced some product then, yes we have available that much quantity on our warehouse, So we can easily deliver it. Do the following steps.
Check the availability and Deliver the product (As you do).
Now the important things , Our procure method is make to order, So based on the supply method our PO/MO is created for that sale order respectively. Assume that you don't want this product to purchased/produced then cancel your generated order.
Go to the sale order, See your sale order is in "Shipping exception",
then ignore the exception after that you see your Sale order goes into
done state and delivered check box is true simultaneously .
Hope this will clear.
IF you still have any query or question then don't hesitate to post the
comment here (For that only I am setting this as a incomplete).
Thanks and waiting for your reply!

Title:
delivering a make to order product from stock does not mark the sales
order as delivered
Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
Incomplete
Bug description:
if you have some stock of a make to order product (which might happen
when a previous order didn’t go through or a return happened or you
overproduced) then when you get an order and deliver it from stock it
doesn’t mark the sales order as delivered.
Create a make to order product (either buy or manufacture)
set the stock level of it to 1
create an order for this product
The delivery order will show waiting availability, but if you click the check availability button it will become available and you can deliver it.
The sales order does not get marked as delivered.
