Re: [Bug 1100815] Re: Google Docs Template Configuration Issue

Hello Arnaud,

Thanks for the instructions.

I checked my configuration again but got the same error again. I know the
connection to google docs is OK as I I can create new documents OK. The
error just occurs when I try to make a template after configuration of the
model.

I'm using a google apps account, so not too sure if that works differently
to a standard gmail account.

Title:
  Google Docs Template Configuration Issue

Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
  Triaged

Bug description:

I have configured the integration to my Google docs account and I can attach new google documents to an object using the attachment menu (e.g to a sales order.). The document receives automatically the name of the sales order + date+ time.

However I can't seem to do this when creating new google docs templates.

  For example:

I want to create a new Google doc text document using a predefined
template which is to be attached to sales orders:

  1. Configuration of Google doc URL in Menu: Settings/Google Docs
  Configuration/ Model Configurations

  2. i create a new model configuration record

  3. I enter the name of the model. - In this example I entered -
  Sales Order

  4. So according to the instructions in the view, I enter the URL of the Google docs document that has been created: for example

  I enter:
  document:1vJECkFoq-OWeQQKi-rZ8BNpAF0884AhAjJPvRFgaLZU

that points to a document (this is just an example):
  https://docs.google.com/a/an_example_company/document/d/1vJECkFoq-OWeQQKi-rZ8BNpAF0884AhAjJPvRFgaLZU/edit

This is according to the instructions in the configuration view.

  5. I leave default value of gdoc_%(name)s for the pattern

  6. I create a sales order and try to attach a Google docs document by pressing the attachment drop down and select " add google docs"

  7. I receive and the following error message:

              Google Docs Error:
your Resource ID is not correct.
You can find the ID in the google docs URL

I tested all other options with the URL but still get the same error messages.

  So I don't know if:

  a) I'm doing something wrong or perhaps misunderstood the purpose of this configuration?
  b) the instructions on the configuration view are incorrect or misleading?
  c) or the interface doesn't work with Google app accounts?
  d) my version of OpenERP (the nightly version from few weeks ago)
  d) or the interface to Google docs gets broken when changing the config?

  My configuration is:
  OpenERP Server Ubuntu 12.04.
OpenERP version 7.0 from last week
Browser: Chrome running on Windows 7.0
  Using google apps business account

  Regards

  Colin
