[Bug 1099345] Re: [Settings] Installing knowledge module produces no visible result
Hello Gilles,
I want to share my "Opinion" on this.
There is a few points I want to describe which as follow.
1. Knowledge module has a "Hidden" category, So no issue If there is a
no menu available after installing it because generally we don't install
and use the Hidden module stand alone.
2. Knowledge module is hidden because its use for two different
verticals. one is document and another is wiki. When you install the
Document applications or Wiki application then We can Configure
Knowledge things.
3. We have clearly mention this things(Point#2) on description of
__openerp__.py file, So whenever some on installed it then he can be
able to understand it.
4. Same thing was working since version 6, 6.1.
5. Don't think any use for only knowledge module.
Please refer this all point and let us know for your answer, for mean
while I am setting this as an "Opinion".
Thanks and waiting for your reply!

Title:
[Settings] Installing knowledge module produces no visible result
Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
Opinion
Bug description:
1. Login to a db_base on runbot
2. go to settings, in the search look for "knowledge" and install it
3. no menu item visible
4. go to settings => knowledge: need to check Manage documents for the menuitem to be visible.
I suggest that when you install "knowledge", it also installs
"document" module, so you get a direct and logical feedback.
