Hello Damian,

Let me explain the use of kanban view first, We have used the kanban
view for reducing our work. When we have a state and stages both on one
object then by using a kanban view we can easily drag and drop the
record on particular stages.

Here we have define the kanban view by default on project, task and
issue because . Lets take the first example of task we have a lots of
stages and state are available on project task, Same thing for the
issue. And for the project object doesn't contains the stages but this
views have a too complexity, So for managing this complexity we have
developed a kanban view.

Now talk about the phase view there is not an any stages on phase as
well as only three state are available, So no need to develop kanban
view for this object.Its already an easy view, that'why no need to do a
more views for one object. Let me tell one thing here, When some views
are required then and only then we can add it for that object.

As per my opinion no need to add the kanban view for phase.And If you
wants this kind of menu then you can easily customized the view at your
end and this is the generic system So we can't consider this type of
issue as a bug.

  [7.0] With project_long_term, inconsistency in Project, Phase and Task
  views

Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
  Invalid

Bug description:
  In OpenERP 7.0.

  1) Install the module project_long_term.
  2) If you go to "Project / Project / Projects", you can see the Kanban view by default and then the possibility to switch to other views.
  3) If you go to "Project / Project / Tasks", you can see the Kanban view by default and then the possibility to switch to other views.
  4) But if you go to "Project / Project / Project Phases", you can see the list view by default and there is no Kanban view. In order to maintain consistency, shouldn't we have a default Kanban view for Project Phases as well?
  5) Also we should have a Gantt view, that is present in Projects and Tasks but no in Project Phases.
