That is normal behavior, if the original view is modified, customized
view is considered invalid/outdated and removed.

  Customized views not working

Bug description:
  Hello,

  I'm trying to create some customized views in 7.0.

  For example:

  Goto 
  - Settings
  - Technical -> User Interface
  - Customized Views
  - Create new entry

  Choose for example product.product.tree and select a user

  I alter the list view by copying the code of the original view, and
  add a column (eg <field name="seller_id"/>)

  Save it.

  Login as the selected user. The user is still seeing the standard list
  view, the extra column isn't added.

  Secondly, when I alter the original view, the customized view for that
  user is no longer available like it is deleted.
