Here you have two issue.

1) Regrading the invoice state. Still you didn't done the full payment
for the invoice. You paid the 1800 instead of the 2000. That means you
have partially paid the invoice that's why you still seen invoice on
confirmed (Open) state. You can check the balance of the invoice which
shows the residual amount.

If its 200 then its working fine as per your scenario. As per your 1st
image you have create invoice for 2000 and on 2nd image you did the
payment for 1800 and you chose the keep open  option on voucher. Thats
means your done the partial payment of the invoice.

2) Issue for un-posted entry: We have only posted the sale journal entry
automatically. We didn't post the bank journal entry automatically ,
because on generic case company's accountant will verify the all payment
entry and he/she will be manually posted the all entry.

We have one more option, If you want to done the payment entry
automatically posted. Then open the relevant journal and set the Tue on
"Skip 'Draft' State for Manual Entries" check-box. Then after when you
create the payment it will automatically posted.

Title:
  cannot edit a customer invoice in open state

Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Cannot make payments to any customer invoice in open state. Cannot
  edit the invoice lines tab or payments tab. If I pay through register
  payments button, action not reflected in invoice i.e no reconciliation
  between payment and invoice.
