I have my java applets working on firefox beta 5 but only those that are
referenced on the web page by the depreciated <applet> tag. Those using
the <object> tag are failing.

Bug description:
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
This is in Ubuntu 8.04 Alpha6
A website needed java so after installing ubuntu-restricted-extras with the java plugin, Firefox 3.0 Beta 3 Java Applets say Additional plugins need installing. I click OK and ubufox asks to install java and i click ok and it says it is already installed!
Here is my firefox version:
