[Bug 218869] Re: 8.04 Hardy: OpenJDK Java Web Start doesn't work with Firefox 3 if use default settings
Hello? Has anyone seen this yet?
Typing "javaws" into the terminal brings up a certificates page (this is
one example of the problem that is mentioned above, albeit simplified).
It should bring up the Java WebStart control application.

Status in Source Package "openjdk-6" in Ubuntu: New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: icedtea-gcjwebplugin
OpenJDK Java Web Start cannot open java-programs in web. A fine example is GeoGebra WebStart:
http://www.geogebra.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=70&Itemid=57
If I click "Geogebra WebStart", it only opens OpenJDK Java Web Start "Certificates" window. I think Firefox uses command "/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/bin/javaws -viewer" to open this viewer - if i set Firefox to open geogebra.jnlp by command "/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/bin/javaws" (just without '-viewer' -option, Geogebra loads and opens fine)
GeoGebra is only on example. I have same problem with other java-application too.
