[Bug 37330] Re: applet window won't be closed
** Changed in: openjdk-6 (Ubuntu)
Sourcepackagename: java-package => openjdk-6
** Summary changed:
- applet window won't be closed
+ Java Applet Window cannot be closed.
** Description changed:
When downloading and installing sun's proprietary Java package following the guide on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/RestrictedFormats, I'm unable to close the java applet / browser window using the window's 'X'. This happens on www.map24.com when I maximize the result map window using the toolbar of the applet. When I use the applet's controls, everything works (except closing the windows, which is not provided by the applet).
Also, minimize and maximize using the controls next to 'X' work fine. The window also closes when the original browser windows is pointed to a different site or closed.
Not a very serious bug, rather an inconvenient one.
OS: Ubuntu dapper (using kubuntu as original installer)
- Browser: firefox 1.5.0.1
+ Browser: firefox 3.0.1
Java: Sun JRE 1.5.0.06 i586
** Also affects: firefox
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
