Greetings:

I also am getting a regular crash with eclipse Ganymede (3.4).  I use
Ubuntu hardy (8.04) on an amd64 cpu.   I'm attaching my trace which
seems similar to the one above.  I am not sure why the crash occurs.

Bug description:
Opening an R file with the http://www.walware.de/goto/statet eclipse plugin, I get the crash report that is attached. 
Version of openjdk: 6b09-0ubuntu2

Can someone make head or tail of the trace and indicate whether the report is right here or should go somewhere else?

Just realized that it also happens when I switch to the java perspective - so it seems to be a rather general problem...
