libaccess-bridge-java makes -jre-headless install a full -jre
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/384739
You received this bug notification because you are a member of OpenJDK,
which is subscribed to java-access-bridge in ubuntu.
Status in “java-access-bridge” source package in Ubuntu: New
Bug description:
libaccess-bridge-java in Karmic introduced the following change (as of 1.26.0-0ubuntu1):
-Depends: openjdk-6-jre | cacao-oj6-jre | java5-runtime-headless
+Depends: openjdk-6-jre
Since openjdk-6-jre-headless depends on libaccess-bridge-java, this basically makes -jre-headless completely useless... as installing it will just install the non-headless version as well.
This results in server CD inflation at a time where we try to free up as much space as possible for the new cloud features.
Does it make sense to revert the dependency change ?
