Switching to sun-java6-jre didn't help, it kept crashing.  The bug
exists in both java implimentations.

I've implemented a workaround that skips JIT compiling of the
problematic class:

Bug description:
Crash occurs every couple of hours.  This began happening after the upgrade, and I get the error message that jdk 1.6 crashed.
