Setting up openjdk-6-jdk (6b14-1.4.1-0ubuntu11) ...
Segmentation fault
dpkg: error processing openjdk-6-jdk (--configure):
 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 139

please could you run by hand:
sudo sh -ex /var/lib/dpkg/info/openjdk-6-jdk.postinst configure and attach the output?

Ubuntu 9.04 - New (first ever!) installation of Linux
I attempted to install Netbeans using the Synaptic Package Manager
Close to completion, the system hung and had to be rebooted
