icedtea6-plugin throws java.lang.NullPointerException with an IPv6 HTTP proxy
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/384600
You received this bug notification because you are a member of OpenJDK,
which is subscribed to openjdk-6 in ubuntu.
Status in “openjdk-6” package in Ubuntu: New
Bug description:
Jaunty/Karmic i386, Firefox 3.0. At the moment running Karmic with 6b16~pre3-0ubuntu1.
When a IPv6-enabled HTTP proxy is set in Firefox icedtea6-plugin crashes with a NullPointerException when a Java Plugin is loaded (I tested http://www.ris.ripe.net/bgplay/applet.html).
To reproduce get IPv6 connectivity and set your proxy to proxytest.mucip.net:3128 (open to the IPv6-world), then try to load that URL.
I'll attach ICEDTEAPLUGIN_DEBUG=1 logs of both cases
