FYI, Dr. Muhammad Masroor Ali, the .5.0-1 works fine on my Ubuntu 9.04.
You may want to revert to it while this bug gets fixed.

Bug description:
zekr (http://zekr.org/quran/quran-for-linux) crashes after start. It launches fine, the splash screen appears, then the main window appears, and then it crashes. I have tested this a number of times.

I have used zekr in this machine for a considerable period of time. A recent upgrade (not of zekr) appears to have broken this.

The crash log is attached.
