[Bug 387059] Re: Ubuntu update from 8.04 to 8.10 crashed. Trying again produced this error. System ist Portable Ubuntu on Windows 2000.

Bug description:
Binary package hint: update-manager

After crash package libc6 was broken, reinstalled it, ran update to Ubuntu 8.10 again. There were several errors, including "Could not install Update manager"
