Bug description:
The icedtea plugin creates fifos at ~/.icedteaplugin/icedtea-appletviewer-to-plugin and ~/.icedteaplugin/icedtea-plugin-to-appletviewer. So if $HOME is in an AFS filesystem, which doesn’t support fifos, the plugin doesn’t work at all. For example, this makes the plugin unusable for MIT Athena machines.
