Bug description:
Binary package hint: yelp

this is the message I received when installing openjdk-6-jdk

corrupted filesystem tarfile - corrupted package archive 
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe) 
Errors were encountered while processing: 
 /var/cache/apt/archives/openjdk-6-jdk_6b18-1.8-0ubuntu1_i386.deb 
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

please advise me what to do to proceed as I'm new to Ubuntu & Linux. Oh nearly forgot my system is Lucid lynx newly installed
