The version reported by java -version is:
java version "1.6.0_20"

Configured using: ./configure --disable-plugin

I'll see if the problem also exists with
http://icedtea.classpath.org/hg/release/icedtea6-1.8

Bug description:
Glassfish V3 does not work properly with openjdk-6 6b18~pre4-1ubuntu1; after a fresh install, attempt to open the login page of the admin console results in the error below. Installing a java package from java.sun.com and using that works without a problem.
