[Bug 573482] Re: Java plugin is not working in 64 -ubuntu 10.4

 

I tried this PPA, but it still isn't working for me. It does look like
this PPA installs
/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre/lib/amd64/IcedTeaPlugin.so. The default
one only installed the i386 version. I'm attaching a strace log of
chrome starting up. You can see it finding the plugin, but it won't load
any java applets I've tried (http://nitro.ucsc.edu/).

I tried to compose a mail , but the java applet donot coming in firefox. I tried chrome also but fail. I downloaded the java and installed. Upon restart problem persist.
