[Bug 587608] Re: Not compatible with sun-java6
yup, looks better, at least the login prompt appears (don't have my cert
available at the moment), seems to work.

Not compatible with sun-java6
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/587608
You received this bug notification because you are a member of OpenJDK,
which is subscribed to openjdk-6 in ubuntu.
Status in “openjdk-6” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete
Bug description:
Hi,
this plugin is not able to run java applets the way the 9.10 sun-java6-plugin did. I currently cannot report my VAT to the local tax authority. I did not find a way to run that java code under 10.04. There's always an error message from the server.
To test:
Goto
https://www.elsteronline.de/eportal/Oeffentlich.tax
Then check "Software-Zert." and hit "Login" on the top right login box. You'll get a java applet which usually asks for the path of a certificate and a password. But now there's only an error message (which does not really help).
regards
Hadmut
