[Bug 37330] Re: Java Applet Window cannot be closed.

Well... after more than five (!) years (are there awards for longest
standing bugs anywhere?), I noticed I'm not visiting that many sites
anymore which use Java. And when I do visit them, Java is not working at
all most of the time (e.g. map24.com -> interactive map). At least we've
gone from 'Unknown' importance to 'Medium' importance. Keeping up this
pace, I guess this bug will get high priority by the time Ubuntu 16.04
is going to be released :P

Bug description:
Any implementation of Java (be it Sun's or the OpenJDK) suffers from
this bug. Some Java Applet Windows cannot be closed when clicking on
the close button (X) on the Window Manager title bar.

This bug only affects Linux distributions. On MS Windows, the Applets
work normally and they can be closed at will as any other window.

  Sites where this bug happens:
  http://www.volano.com/
  http://www.chat-avenue.com/
  http://www.elchat.com
...and pretty much any Applets that do not have an explicit close function within themselves.

  OS: Ubuntu Karmic Koala
  Browser: Firefox 3.5.9
  Java: OpenJDK Java runtime
