Title:
  TED crashes JRE unexpectedly

Status in “openjdk-6” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I've been running TED for a while now, but recently it has been
crashing while I'm away from my desk, unexpectedly. Running TED from
the command-line I can retrieve a decent error log (provided below)
which doesn't immediately point at TED to being the culprit:

  #
  # A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
  #
  # SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x00007f4e3f3728d0, pid=26140, tid=139973948684032
  #
  # JRE version: 6.0_20-b20
  # Java VM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (19.0-b09 mixed mode linux-amd64 compressed oops)
  # Derivative: IcedTea6 1.9.9
  # Distribution: Ubuntu 10.10, package 6b20-1.9.9-0ubuntu1~10.10.2
  # Problematic frame:
